Roy, I'm not sure about the gem and peach.
Sparkly, juicy and sweet sounds fine.

This is not only a great Christmas poem but it carries a Bible-based message of generousity and good spirit to neighbors and strangers. Your poem is well-rhymed and your message resonates. Thank you for sharing your poem.

I enjoyed this Christmas poem here, and appreciate the sentiment "treat other as you would yourself". Many of us are not good at that, and it's a worthy goal.
I noticed your meter changes here and there, for example in the second line of stanza 1: what if you said "and every Christmas past" which means the same thing, but maintains iambic meter.
Thank you for writing about the true spirit of this holiday, which is important to remember!

Darren,
This is a very beautiful and powerful Christmas poem you have composed.
How nice of you to give credit to those reviewers for their help. Gee, you
must have at least 7 different scriptures that you have referred to or
paraphrased in this poem.
I enjoyed your alliteration, imagery and most of all message and
invitation to all. Very well done, my friend,
Linda

A very nice poetic effort that is very appropriate at this holiday season. For all those who observe this season I am quite sure that they find no fault here. Good rhymes.

To accept the best reward
that was never earned
offered from our faithful Lord,
a lesson to be learned ... I really liked the innovative rhyming pairing of "Lord" and "reward" here, Darren. Very well done...
So, if you are reading,
preparing for your rest
know that we are needing
to all be truly blessed... Amen to that, my friend...
Treat others as you would yourself
and try not to grumble
for whosoever exalts himself
shall in the end, be humbled ... And, I echo the same sentiments I expressed above here as well...
Wonderfully well composed, Darren. I hope a virtual "six" will suffice for now...
Merry Christmas to you & yours.

Badger, very well done. Yes, we can enjoy all year when we think
of our Savior and what He has done for us. Good alliteration in ...
trifles, treats, and treasures ...and vibrant vision.

Lovely drawing that complements your poem perfectly. It is about how we nowadays celebrate Christmas, and also about the birth of Jesus. Great that you got many helpers. A good message you give in rhyme.

Christmas time is a precious time where a babe is born in a poor stable. Time to reflect what truly Christmas is about. You put it nicely in your poem to make the readers aware. Good luck in the contest. Blessings, Ella
