Not to engage in hyperbole, this poem is a freaking masterpiece! It says everything I want to say but lacked the vision to say. Oh, I know that I could have said it, but my aim was too narrow and too low. I cannot see how it could be better stated. I am right now going to throw into the trashcan, my feeble attempt at saying the same thing. I stall have things to say, but I shall now take, in fact I am now forced to take a different road to get to where you have so brilliantly gone. Bravo, my esteemed friend, bravo!

A great poem and hopefully one that will be widely read. Your last stanza was a perfect finish.
The answer, friends, is found in love
And love survives in truth
And truth requires a mixture of
Discourse, respect, and proof
And this is all within our power
If we heed that higher call
And maybe then this fragile flower
Will grow strong, and straight, and tall
Thanks much.

Wow that reads so well. I am an Australian so I am merely a distant observer of your political case. So time will tell will the great wall of Mexico be built?
What effect will trump in power have on the rest of the world? so many unanswered questions
We sit and watch

I have to confess I don't totally understand your meaning (I'm not very good at poetry), but I love the sound of your poem. The last stanza, in particular, is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing.

Bravo! This is right up my street. The rhetoric, the angle , the message and the delivery. You held the rhythm well considering its length. Rolled off the tongue.Good choice of words with a certain flamboyance.
I have only five stars but well worth the six.
I like this very much. Top notch writing, with the subject matter in view.
A very well done, Clockwise.
My best wishes.

this is a good rant and you are forgiven the brief intrusion. I like the "loop gar"
and wonder how you may have meant this? And I guess that in the last stanza, by 'Fragile flower' you have made a metaphor for the truth.

very good, nicely done, great rhyming with a good meter, reads and flows well. I find the wall a good idea to keep the rift raft out. Come here the legal way if one can, Sneaking in tells me you are trouble. have a good day.

This is an exceptional poem about the current state with the recent election of Donald trump, I followed it very closely, I was disappointed in the result. Your poem is a positive one for to look to the future with hope and love.
A long poem but well written, I rate it a six.

Interesting political poem about our present state of affairs. It was wordy, but good overall.
A nice even meter and cadence. The flow is good throughout this entire poem.
I had to read it several times to grasp the entirety of what it was you were trying to say.
Good writing...

Very interesting take on the 2016 presidential election. I hope your predictions are correct, and our country "will grow strong, and straight, and tall" once again. According to Joshua, the walls of Jericho fell after the Israelite army marched around the city blowing their trumpets. Now all we can do is put our faith in the supreme powers of the universe and hope the light will lead our path thru the darkness.
