Yes, it does all get to be a bit too much. Sometimes we find a thread of reason and sanity amidst all the rhetoric and biased double talk.

Exceptional

This poem truly moved me. I'm still stumbling around from that freak show that culminated a couple weeks ago. Here's my favorite part:

They demon eyes the working class
to see what demons see--
Hypocrites who praise the past
Now living on their knees
But that song they sing rings sour
Like some righteous free-for-all
In the shadow of that tower
They still clamour for a wall

Hypocrites who praise the past now living on their knees. Brilliant.
