An excellent work, you present it with a mixture of humour, reason and guesswork, when it comes to how things will pan out, put in a human factor, and predictability flies out the window. What people say, write or play out is not necessarily what actually happens. Beautifully written in compelling language, a smooth, even delivery of expression, and rhythmic flow, some good strategic rhyme, well done, good work, blessings, Roy

This is superbly written. Aside from that, I can speak to the message and say, "Do not be afraid. Don't worry." Trump is a good man, despite his over the top campaign messages to rouse his unhappy working class base. He put Ben Carson in charge of HUD. Perfect choice, since he grew up in the inner city and knows the problems well. Trump has said helping the inner city is a priority, and he knows how to do it. I believe him. And he's only deporting the criminal illegals, not tearing families apart.
Relax. It's going to be fine. :)

I loved the flow and rhythm of this poem and was loving the tower and wall direction. Then suddenly I was presented with a last verse that, to me, got away from the wall/tower and went to love and flower. I'm more than a little confused. I liked the last verse, but it stood alone to me. That's why I could only give four.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review my poem. I always appreciate feedback from those who force me to earn my stars.
The tower and wall were meant as metaphors for how political discourse has deteriorated over the past few years. It seems instead of debating each other, the sides have decided, instead, to debase one another. Its like we no longer speak the same language.
Hence, the final stanza is direct repudiation of the behavior described in stanzas leading up to it. "Discourse, respect, and proof" is the prescription for overcoming our increasing separation.
The fault of your confusion likely lies in a far too ambitious attempt on my part to tie so many things together.
God bless.

I got the wall and tower. There was just no tie in for me in the last verse. I can see it now that you have told me your reasoning. The closure was probably a little ambitious in one verse. I did really like it though.

Hi Clockwise,
enjoyed reading your very clever political viewpoint woven and flowing within some magical rhyme... yes, love and transparency is the answer... but promises are shallow when agenda's are set and cast.
With our thoughts we create,
integrity and honor.

This is a fantastic poem. Darn it - I'm out of sixes. Actually, I wish I could give this a 10! You left no stone unturned in this. Well done.

These rhyming stanzas remind us of the vindictiveness of the last political camapigns. We need to find ways to get people to see the only hope is to show love not hate as you say in your last stazna.

This is a very insightful and provocative work, specially in these days of political unrest and what's not. It lead me to think in those majestic ivory towers...and the ones without a roof. Ouch!
