Boy.

I am astounded at how well thought out this poem feels. It just caused me to fan you. The tower and the wall will be with me for some time I think. So will The Tower and the Wall.

It first came as a scoffing at the wall-builders, and I was happy. I scoff at the wall and the builders. And then you nailed me to the floor of my tower. I am convicted.

Truly evocative and provocative words. Beautifully done. I wish I could produce such poetry. Truly. I'm generally a tough critic, but a wonderful poem will knock the tough right out of me.

You get my first poetry six stars.

Great expression of a world in confusion and chaos.
A hostile yet compassionate streaming analogy,
pointing to reality for those who see
and understand that this is all temporary and one day will pass.
While silently shouting frustration for those who have never submitted
to read the WORD that they can receive the wisdom it issues.
Well done and unique.

This a nice meaningful poem about politics. Is it
in the area of critical thinking? All I know it is heavy.
Congratulations on your wins and good luck with your poem.

this is so well done ,alluding to many great problems and solutions for these most devisive of times. I love the recurring tower/wall theme that speaks to SO MUCH , including the resurgence of the same kind of spirits behind the tower of babel, and the walls around a city. History definitely repeats itself. if only we would learn. I enjoyed it so much. God blesses you!

WOW! I'll be honest, I'm sick of the strife-filled political rants passing as art on this & other social websites. I'm also badly in need of a break from this strife while we ponder what really matters -- the meaning of the holiday season we're in. Yet, you managed to write something that's not a bit offensive & does not throw gasoline on the fire. Thanks very much for that bit of compassion. Your message is strongly stated but truly artistic, not an artless rant like so many can be these days. I'm not sure I follow every nuance of what you're saying, but I believe all sides can find some gentle truths here.

Your poem is exceptional, and I completely agree with all you said. Throughout the entire piece there was a mood of insightful honesty, a confident rally to look at the truth and a determined voice for harmony.
First, my favorite stanza was the one beginning with "the arrogance of babble"
But, then the last stanza stood out as it explained the answer to the whole political static with such graceful yet powerful simplicity.
Your rhyming is superb, your rhythm is perfect, your image is so appropriate, and your message is loud and clear.

A solid six star review on this end my friend. The flow was impeccable and this masterfully crafted piece is certainly current. Freaking media trying(and is some cases succeeding) in controlling the mass.
God bless!

Very. . . very good. You know how to lay down the lines--especially the lines that separate us. Will it be a wall, or a tower? These lines flowed naturally and smooth. For a poem, this held a plot, deep and to the core.

You have a way with words my friend. May they be at your side forever.

I read this poem aloud and it is phenomenal. it is a poem of our time that distills the issues, fears, and discussions raised by this election. Your metaphors of wall and tower captures America at this juncture. Although rhymed, your poem flows like a free verse or rap. You make creative and playful use of words, such as:

"They demon eyes the working class
to see what demons see--"

That is very clever. Yes, we must speak truth to power. I love your concluding lines:

"The answer, friends, is found in love
And love survives in truth
And truth requires a mixture of
Discourse, respect, and proof
And this is all within our power
If we heed that higher call
For maybe then this fragile flower
Will grow strong, and straight, and tall"

This is very insightful and empowering because it speaks of what we have within our power.

Thank you for sharing and for caring.
