Seamstress of dreams, what a lovely image. This is a calling for the peace of pleasant thoughts, invited nocturnal wanderings to accompany us. There is nothing more satisfying than having deep, soulful sleep where we are cosmic travellers. This is a blissful expression of this state.

I'm guessing you really are a seamstress?

I enjoyed reading your free verse entry. You've got some unique
word combinations and your repetition of "you seamstress of dreams."
is effective. I also enjoyed the images you conveyed with this well
written poem.

Dear Linda, no I'm not a seamstress. I can't even thread a needle anymore. I used to be quite competent at counted cross stitch, and quilling. I haven't experimented with either for years. Your review encourages me to pick them back up.

Hi, Jeni. I know a lot of people who crochet, quilt and embroider and theym would love this poetry. I certainly liked it. Especially this stanza:

"Mend this tattered spirit,
you seamstress of dreams.
Golden needle
and silver thread
hold her heavy heart."

I guess when we need help, or hope, or healing, we'll ask "whatever" for it.
