This poem about TIME is well written and sets up a very nostalgic image for the reader. The rhyming is smooth and the presentation is very appealing. Great job

This is very well written and I love the picture. Time does have a way changing memories to fit the situation. My mother had this form of selective memory, things always seemed to end up her way.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a great day and God bless.

Yes we can have selective memory, sometimes through rise tinted glasses. But that's OK. Thank you for your positive feedback.

The objective correlative of the poem reminisces the sublimer nature of the past when placed side by side with the present .
The work sees its protagonist yearning for the "halcyon days",which were characterised by peaceful coexistence with ideal friends that each defending the integrity of his family.
The work constitute a significant commentary on the protagonist's contemporaries desire to approximate what people all over the world call "the good old days".
Excellent work! Bravo!

True on both counts. We tend to sift out the bad times and the bad memories when we view them in hindsight, and true that this is probably a good thing all round. I enjoyed the thoughts behind this poem and its composition in rhymed couplets of seven syllable length.
