Pharp: I stopped by to say thanks for the great review! I like your naani.
When I was in depression with my Dad's death, I reached inside my heart and
found God. Then, I started seeing visions and hearing God's voice. My novel,
"What are you waiting for?" is about accepting Jesus as Lord. Yes, I'm at 40,000 words and hope to be done before Thanksgiving! soli deo Gloria! God bless you and have a blessed, divine supper with your precious family in Christ!

A poem that exemplifies the dangers of living a life in which oneself is placed at the centre of the world. Selfishness is self-defeating. One cannot turn the eye inwards all the time if one wishes to look outwards and connect with the rest of humanity.

How true your Naani. The saying ' Pride goes before a fall' could be a precursor to your poem. I like the introspection you use. It's a new style for me, but I enjoyed It.

This is a well written poem and a powerful message indeed.
You need to check your syllable count, you have one syllable too many, the maximum for a Naani is 25 and you have 26 syllables.
If you fix it up you have a good shot in the contest, best of luck to you.

Out of everyone who reviewed this poem your are the only one who caught the error. Thank you for a thorough and kind review. I came in third place in the contest with the syllable count of 26.
