Luna,

Your double etheree must have been a very tearful task.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a very touching
poem to say the least.

Your form is excellent and the message impacting.
Maybe it can help someone from meeting Mickey's
plight. We can hope and pray it will.

These lines really touched my heart
deeply and are outstanding in every way:

"Your demons, inner turmoil ruled your days.
Attempts to recover gave me hope,
I loved you more than my own life.
Your last time was your last time;"

God bless and thank you for sharing,

Linda

I can relate to this very much and it touches my emotional core. 'The female lover' notion is brilliant sad and necessary to uphold in your heart and for others to understand the terror of drugs. I am sorry for your plight and send you many wishes, Kai

Jeni,

I can't even begin to imagine what you've been through. I have a nephew who's been addicted to heroin and that's hard enough, but my baby...? no way. I'm sending prayers for you now. God bless.

I'm so sorry for your loss - but so appreciate your sharing this poem. We all need to be made aware of addiction disease and work to dedicate more resources for it treatment and prevention.

I write this to you, Jeni, not to Luna. It was you who suffered this most terrible loss. Messages like this are hard to write, because I want to rage against that whore, heroin. But it's not a whore; it's just a mindless drug which has brought about a pandemic; the disease of addiction, to which your son fell victim.

When your child is an addict, you suffer so many losses, so many small deaths. Each time hope returns, only to be dashed again. Your hope has ben stolen away for the final time, and I am so sorry for your ultimate loss. May the knowledge that he is now at peace, give you some relief from your torment.

Now to your poem. It is beautiful. More than that, it is another warning to those who are vulnerable and ready to experiment.

I regret I have no sixes left.

My heart goes out to you. Sending my love for one who has been pulled yet further into the darkness than I.
Jane

I wrote that message on a difficult day, and my words came out stilted and unnatural, but the meaning behind them was sincere x

Hey Jeni - Remember me? We had a collaborative work in the works called -
"Catch a Falling Star" done in La Tuin poetry form. Chapter 1, 'The Wizard' posted 08/30/07, is still in my portfolio and easily accessed through Classic Fanstory. This newfangled Fanstory will take some time to get used to. The introduction to "Catch a Falling Star" was in your portfolio. If you have a copy of it, it would be wonderful if you could repost it. We met and had coffee in Maryland while I was back there for my nephew's wedding. Anyway, glad to see that you've returned! Look forwards to your continued growth as a talented writer.

Sorry to hear about Mickey - very sad - you were in turmoil about his issues when we met a decade ago.

This is a perfectly written double etheree about your deep love for Mickey, and the issues involved with heroin addiction that finally took his life.

Love the artwork!
Outstanding job with this double etheree.
Best of luck with the contest.

Cheers ... ;o) Art

Art! First of all, thank you a whole bunch for the generous six-star review. That makes me so happy.

Of course I remember you, how could I now? I'm trying to access classic Fanstory but don't know how. I've gotta write to tom.

I propose that we collaborate on a work very shortly. It was so much fun working with you.

I'm glad that you reached out to me, and I thank you for your condolences.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Heroin is the evilest of all drugs. My son-in-law died from a heroin overdose. He left behind my daughter and three beautiful children.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It truly is tragic. My son left behind a mother, father, sister and grandmother who loved him to the moon and back. He is truly our angel. Again, I weep for your loss.

    Truly,

    Jeni
