I'm so glad to hear you say you're glad he's back. I thought about retiring him. But he gets good responses.

A very well-written poem. Wally was missed, and I am glad he's back. When we have talents we must share it with others as well. We can teach others also our talents.

Thank you for saying that. I almost retired him. I thought maybe he was getting tiresome. I appreciate your comments so very much. Thank you.

Hehe how cute, I understand that Wally is your cartoon double, his adventures actually yours. There is nothing more satisfying than sharing knowledge with the young and observing as they adapt your style to their own. What a fantastic journey for Wally. Superb rhyme.

There's an Institute of Weasel Artists, Yvonne? Geesh, I had no idea, lol...

"He sat the easel up and painted swishes here and there.
The little weasels were amazed, could only sit and stare."
... I used to watch Bob Ross on the Public Broadcasting System who had the same sort of effect on me.
That guy was truly amazing! ...

"When Wally checked what they had done,
he saw with great delight
the little ones had painted well.
One did a bright red kite.

Some had painted trees and clouds, and nine did flow'ring plants,
and bumblebees and butterflies, and one pink tiny ant."
... You mean to tell me that at of all those young weasels, not one painted a monster?
Boy, times sure have changed since I was a wee weasel, heh-heh...

This was awesome, as always, Yvonne; from the first line to the very last.

'Welcome back, Wally!"

I've always liked Wally, Yvonne. It's a perfect series for kids.
Have you ever thought about trying to publish it?
    If not, you should.
    You're more than welcome.

Yes, I have. With one thing and another, I haven't done all my drawings yet. I will publish it with CreateSpace, I think. I have lupus and have been sick a while now, and I have a 95 year old mother to see about. All in all, I've been remiss in getting it finished. I have the lady who helped Douglas Paul with his book, and she'll help me put it together.

Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. I means so much to me. You are a good friend.

Well, I want a signed copy whenever you do get it published.
I'll read it to my grandkids, when and IF I ever get some, LOL.
Good luck, Yvonne, and I hope your Lupus has improved.
    Warmest wishes,

So cute! Did you do the drawing, too? I love that you use an unusual animal, the weasel which has a bad reputation in English idiom. But I find Wally very likable and kids would like him, too!

Wally,

Oh my goodness! This has to be the most adorable poem I have ever read.
Where do I begin? ""Now, see here, class," our Wally said,
"you must paint from your heart." Now, those are wise words.

I can't even select parts I like the most. Each and every line is so cherished
by me and I give Wally a 6 hands down! I missed him so.

Linda

How very imaginative- a Weasel Art Institute. I liked the way the rhyme fell naturally in the story, it was not at all forced, just "painted" the whole cute story.

Adorrrrable poem that kids will love. I like your picture. They aren't wearing their hats because they aren't painting yet, just watching Wally's lesson... Duh! :)

You're right. They didn't put them on until they started painting. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thank you, fellow conspirator. LOL.
