Hi Mike, I enjoyed reading this. I too, think beauty is a mixture of inner and outer beauty. As we get older, the looks may go, but what's inside will always remain. Happy Anniversary!

I think your lady will be pleased with this anniversary offering. The wife and I were married in 1966, and never looked back for forty-four years. It lasts when it's right. Excellent.

What a wonderful tribute to the love of your life. I hope she knows how lucky she is. I read a poem a couple of days ago. I told the author his wife was a lucky woman. He said, I don't have a wife, but I'll tell my husband you said so.

I really enjoyed this write and congratulations on your fortieth anniversary. Hug each other for me. I only have one other thing to say. My wife and I were married 47 years on the 21st of November. When I read your essay, I thought you were a fly on the wall at our house. I'm so glad there are others like us.

Thanks, Mike, for the reminders we so often forget about and overlook when assessing the luring charms of a woman, a friend, a soulmate.
You've covered all the details with such finely expressed appeal i could not help but reassess some of those in my own life and the mistakes I regretfully made when letting them in.
