Hahaha, well, my kids would probably just laugh until they turned blue, Tony.
They're sort of used to being scared by now, LOL.
But hey, don't allow that to deter you from scaring the beejeezus outta the rest of the ragamuffins. Most children aren't as accustomed to such gruesomely grotesque sights as are mine.
I say scare away and may the dark be with you always, heh-heh-heh...

Hello Tony,

The two old men eating soup look pretty creepy, as is your Rondeau poem.

This is an excellent entry for the Halloween Poetry contest! Very well written.

Ok, I'm going to hide my grandchildren after reading this! LOL ... Yes, AGE really does "hold horrid truths" ... "hearing aids", "false teeth" ... and so much more!

Loved the originality of this write! "Forsooth" ... I'm getting "decrepid" too ... ... the joys of aging! ... That's really scary!! Thanks for teaching me another new word, Tony ... "ruth". :)

For little children, some times there is nothing scarier than an old person, especially one as you so eloquently depicted in this poem.

Should make an interesting entry into this contest.

LOL, Tony! That was so funny. Yes, if the children saw some of us oldies without our extras, it would be them that will be collecting the treats! Really excellent contest entry, well done and good luck! xsx Sandra xx

This work has reached the exceptional level

This is delightful, Tony, and so wise in that you describe a horror more striking than that of any Halloween costume- that of decrepitude and old age! Lol. Just you wait, kiddies! You've created a perfect rondeau here, with a picture that suits it so well. I very much enjoyed this :)) Carol

I'd be interested to get your thoughts on my poem 'Strange Revenge' which is a rhyming Sapphonic Triad, in which I quote one of my own poems. If you have a minute... :))
