Hi Sandra. This is a well written poem with good flow and rhyme. I think back in the early days, and probably nowadays, too, traveling alone is a challenging thing for a woman. Your story ends well. Interesting and clearly expressed. Marilyn

Thank you so much, Marilyn. Yes, I think it's getting just as bad now, such a shame isn't it. Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Stunning! Well done, Sandra - picture or no picture, this poem is superb. I thought I was going to read another chapter from your wonderful book when I saw the message, and didn't realise what a treat was in store!

I love this story in a poem. Exciting and adventurous. Great flow and rhyme and the story very interesting. It brought the reader onto the train feeling the fear and pain of the narrator. Love conquered all as the cavalry defeated the Indians.
At last, you ended on a sweet note of togetherness. Good poem.

This is a great take on the picture Sandra. I enjoyed the manner in which you take the reader back to match the era of the train. Great read from start to finish. Have a great week. God bless.

This was very well done Sandra. It was a complete story within a poem and started with a train. I really enjoyed the natural flow when reading it. The hints of adventure, of fear, of terror, of rejoice and of love. It placed the train in the correct time in its history. Great job, thanks.

Oh what women will do for love. You have expressed that perfectly in your poem about a reminiscence (fiction I hope) I have enjoyed your poetry before and have bee delighted. Reading this out loud makes for lovely rhythm and excellent rhyming. And an interesting story to boot fiction or not.

Very good. It must be difficult toe write a poem based on someone else's picture. I couldn't do it if they gave me their whole photo album.

Excellent picture challenge.
Rhyming is spot on and flow is perfect.
The story told is flawless from start to finish.
The more into it, the faster the pace became and the flow kept up with it.

Aww, thank you, Barb! I am a bit of a cowboy fan. I watch all the films and read lots of western romance books. I'm always the girl that gets rescued! LOL. Thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Wow! What a fantastic, exciting story you came up with from a simple train pic. You're a born storyteller, Sandra, even when you write poetry, which you do verrrrry well, btw.
