An excellent story in poetry form. It seems there is no running away from your heart and your memories no matter how far you go. Pensive, sad, and heartworn.

Hi, old friend. have not seen you for a while. I've been busy getting my autobiography up again for a final run before self-publishing*. Getting some more suggestions so *Sp on the back burner again. Loved your poem and the artwork was pleasing to the eye as well. Just one little bitty spag...Light(n)ing always flashing

Your fun poem has good flow and rhyme. It's a bit of whimsy, which I like a lot. It reminds me of when I get the wanderlust and want to get away from it all. But I lived in California for many years--to escape to L.A.? No way. Marilyn
