What a beautiful presentation. Your poem has a light, lovely rhythm to it and the rhyme is so gentle and not forced. It is like the poem itself is serenading the reader.
Beautiful work.

    lufoster,

My daughter, plays the violin, her four boys all play string instruments. Two of the boys play the Cello, one plays the Viola and the youngest plays the Violin. A baby girl is due in January, do not know what instrument she will play if any.

On last Friday my grandson, invited me to attend an event at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The theme was Nature and Music; the performance was awesome. As I was listening to the music I thought I was in Heaven, the calm and peaceful sounds had totally taken me away into another moment in time. When I came across the artwork on last night as I was penning this poem all the beautiful of that music flooded my mind.

Thanks so much for your review and very kind comments, Blessings my friend........................Portia

You have written another lovely piece. My favourite line, standing tall and proud, I seek your face. A great flow and rhym throughout. I understand she was playing to God, am I write? Great picture to go with your lovely words.

    Susan,

Thank you for your review and very kind comments, this poem was inspired by the artwork, and the words from God.

My daughter plays the Violin, her four boys all play string instruments. Two of the boys play the Cello, one plays the Viola and the last child plays the Violin.

Last Friday, my grandson invited me to attend the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The performance was simply outstanding. The theme was nature and music. While the orchestra was playing, I found myself at peace, lost in their music so calm as if I was in Heaven.

I came across the artwork last night and the words just started flowing. As I was penning I could hear in my mind the music from the performance of the orchestra. You are very wise in the understanding of this poem. Blessings...........Portia

This is an effective, rhymed romantic poem with a musical beat and sincere, well-rhymed words. I sense the humbleness of the violinist whom I imagine playing outside the window of a beloved. Who could not fall in love with that? This is a well structured poem of love and dedication. Thank you for sharing.

Lovely poem based on a lovely picture! I like that the music comes not only from the violin but also from the heart. Moonlit music and what looks like some flying spots which could be birds personifying the notes describes the picture well.

A very nice poem. I hope your husband feels the love. As for me, I prefer the Banjo. Do you know any Bluegrass tunes? We can call that violin a fiddle and go from there.

    Tom,

My daughter plays the violin and her four boys all play string instruments from the Cello, Viola and Violin. Now as for me, I am the singer in the house. ( yes, you are right gospel singer) Now, we can all get together and see what we can do. I can really see you play the Banjo. Lots of love .......Portia
