A well-written piece. Your words flowed nicely and the piece moved right along from beginning to end. your words were well chosen easily read and very concise. It is too bad that these candidates in the election campaigns could not be this clear.

Democrat, Republican, Third Party does it really matter?

After all, politicians, no matter their breed, are all the same.

Vow one thing but never keep their campaign promised.

Classic example of that is the Kenyan who has been the President of the United States for the last 8 years and run this country so far into the ground chances are it may never recover.

Now do you prefer the criminal, who should already be in prison - Clinton, or would you prefer Trump?

Some choice, isn't it?

it was really nice to hear a complete debate without anyone interfering! This was a nice commentary. I don't know how anyone is going to solve all the problems for the next presidency? This was very well thought out and comical..., especially trump's "I don't get it?" ( too few words for him. ha!)

You deserve 6 stars but I don't have them for another 1/2 hour. I would love to have Jill Stein as a candidate. I would vote for her, now I'm just going to vote for Hillary--anyone is better than Trump. I love the way he never got it! :P You have a gift for humor in your writing :) Good job!
Thank you for using my picture--my god, that was done so long ago--now it is really saying something.
TC!

Dr. Stein has made it on 45 state ballots. I'm pretty sure Connecticut is one of them. Thank you for your kind comments...John

This is a superb write and one with which I easily agreed. Not being American may influence that, but the signs are there in my country too which show how decent democratic values which underpinned the setting up of governments in its original form, are being stripped away.

Every single point your 'Jill Stein' character makes is so right. I know it's theoretical and not tested in the market place, but that market place is so skewiff under the influences of cheats and self promoters that it would almost take a revolution to start again.

As I listen to Hillary and Donald talking about each other's personal failures and don't hear much at all about how America can be a great democracy again, I worry deeply about the future of western idealism.

That you've captured it so perfectly in this play format, and make so much sense, suggests there may still be a way. However, it will take a miracle for this to happen.

Brilliantly conceived, and what I like most, is that your writing seems to come from social conscience and concern, not from a writer seeking accolades.

What an insightful piece. I enjoyed the alternative voice. Being Canadian, I have been watching the debates through a non-committed lens. Jill Stein would definitely have my vote if I were American and she were a real candidate. With that said, I will say your writing was so clear and precise, I felt as if I were reading a journalist piece, rather than fiction...partially, at least. I'm sure the "DT" portion of the story is pretty accurate. I found the piece flowed with ease and had no distractions with elaborate word choice. I give this a 6 star rating for its exceptional realism while remaining a piece of fiction. Bravo!

You do make some valid points, and quite well, I think. I didn't quite understand the purpose of a script format, but I rather liked the humorous touches scattered throughout. It is too bad we have such a pitiful choice this election cycle. I just hope people will realize how important voting is, and not stay home. Thank you for this clear, and well-written summary of what Jill Stein stands for. Most of us might never have a clue, otherwise.

Very interesting "debate" with a third candidate. You've captured DT and HC very well in tone and word choice. There's a bit of tongue-in-check and a bit of "pulling back the curtain." Clever story that reflects current events --with characters that are truly timeless.

After a few months of debating with myself, I have decided to vote for Ms. Stein. I made that decision after seeing a hacked e-mail in which Ms.Clinton expressed her confidence in the ability of gigantic banks and investment firms to police themselves. That was the last straw. It will be the first time I haven't voted for the Democratic candidate for President. Thanks for your post.

First, this is another example of your exceptional essay writing skills. Second, you presented this is such a way, it almost seems possible this debate took place. Alas, it is a Utopian dream.

Very well thought out, and more importantly, written in such a manner it could become a revered document.

A two party system is very limiting. The hard part for many Americans is independent thinking, the ability to rationally look at their identity crisis if they were forced to think about what they believe in instead of referring to the label on their voting card.

Most enjoyable.
