I love the 5-7-5 poem about that refreshed feeling of the coming of Autumn, through the glass of hot apple cider. The golden leaves in a flurry and the first whiff of fall! I liked your style and choice of words.

Oh yes! This certainly fulfills the requirements for a perfect 5-7-5 poem. I can taste that cider, even smell autumn in the air. There's just something about the crisp, cool breeze when raking fallen leaves that's invigorating, and you've captured that feeling of comfort we get when the job's done and we settle inside comfortably.

Thanks for your review, Gypsy. I know you're an artwork enthusiast, but I couldn't find a photo that complimented the poem, and rather use just anything, I'd rather just use color background. Thanks for complimenting the imagery and your good luck wish for the contest.

Cider and raking leaves are all good reminders of autumn. Seasonal references are traditional in a haiku so that is perfect. I like the transition from common tangible things to the poetic conclusion of taking a "sip of autumn." Clever ending!
