Your story is so well written, and also very informative. I like the way you stated things from the insects point of view, and I like the last line, I can just picture him!

I admire your creativity here. I actually enjoyed reading about the various insects and their characteristics. I especially liked the lines about the flies. The ball is exciting and looks like the bugs are having a good time. Best wishes for the contest.
