A nicely written contest entry. Your well-chosen words combined nicely forming the message of the poem for the reader. I think you completed the challenge of the contest well.

Thanks for the review zanya

Computations, calculations, considerations and conclusions. We need to do all of these things, and more, before deciding to use deforestation methods on thousands of acres of land. Soon, there will be no trees left.
No trees, no clean air...we die, everything dies.
Best wishes to you in the contest.

Didn't place in the contest, huh?
Yeah, it truly hurts when you pour your heart and soul into your writing, only to have it lose, doesn't it?
I know...
Keep your chin up, don't let it bother you so much
There is always next time.

Hello, my friend. Fine syllable count. The presentation is lovely. The poem is a bit too scientific for me but that is okay.

Wow. I honestly have to say I am glad I didn't enter this contest - the competition is STIFF! I've read several I think are truly wonderful 5-7-5 poems, including this one. Best of luck!

Very good. I wish I could say more, but on one hand, I have writers block on the other FanStore says I must think of something to say.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. Nature are able to cleanse our souls when we just take a moment and stand still and find the stillness in nature that brings us peace in our hearts.

Hi. I love your embrace of both the vastness of the universe and depths suggested by the gnarled algorithms, and trees as a precursor to, nourisher and maintainer; and marker of all life symbolised by our Tree Of Knowledge and Life, genetic oneness, and evolution of consciousness in time.
Well done, I enjoyed reading this, and being able to gift a review, although as a grateful inspiratory writer, I cannot comment on style or expertise of form. So, hopefully, it will pass as a six star, which my comments on short poems rarely do.
I can add that the whole presentation of this, the two trees, difficult for a tree hugger to embrace with the same sense the image gives of actually looking up through a channel to touch the Great Whole and Soul. I love such inspiration, thanks, Maureen*&*

What a lovely 5-7-5 about trees. I love the 'earthlings soul'...and of course, the 'secrets to the universe!' Great entry! Blessings....

We've often heard it said that trees are creatures
and like humans can communicate. Given the
inter-reliance humans and trees have to survive,
maybe, just maybe this 'soul secrets' tweeting
might have some veracity. But, given humans
appetite for cutting down jungles and their adverse
overall respect for the environment, the tweets
may well be gnarled. Some clever word play on
display in this three liner. Perhaps too, some
wisdom beyond our comprehension. Whatever, it's
well composed, alive with imagery and imagination.
Best of luck.

What an accolade for this little poem - zanya

I love your tree-hugging 5-7-5! It reminds me of an article I read about trees having their own communication with each other. Your last line is the epitome of the "ah ha" moment.
Excellent!
