Your use of scriptures completes this piece perfectly. They are well chosen and I found them very moving.
You obviously have a deep abiding Christian faith and are keen to share what you believe and what you've experienced with others. I felt like you were talking to me which I guess is one of the purposes of your essay.
I've been a Christian all my life but suffer from that never quite accepting the with full commitment. I believe this: Only one way and one voice can actually calm our uncertainty and spiritual tensions...the voice of the Lord Himself. I have heard the voice of God on many occasions but still hold back from full trust.
Thank you for these reminders. I totally understand:Faith is the answer to fear. And there are so many ways fear exhibits itself in a personal and communal way every day. It is the fear that drives much of the stupid ways we behave in response.

Thank you! A very helpful thing to remember in dealing with fear is that faith can grow as it is nurtured by the truth of the word of God. God sees true faith in Jesus even in its embryonic form and will help us to continue to grow until faith is replaced by sight. God bless and will correct the spag. :) Dennis

A good essay writer always backs up their statements and opinions with reference to facts and authoritative works. With your quotes, you do this. It's also good that you've included full references of the snippets you quote. That's another requisite you've accomplished :-)
Overall:
This is an easy piece to read. You have a nice flowing writer's voice. This displays attitude. In non-fiction, it helps readers maintain interest if an author expresses strongly held views. Few want to read mediocre. You've achieved this. I enjoyed reading it. Well done.
