Oh, spanishlover, you just made my day with your wonderful praise and the bonus star. Yes, I do remember "The Woods" and do hope you're having fun revising it. Haikus are not easy to write despite the limited number of syllables. I always let the picture inspire me. Usually the image(s) I am seeking jump out at me. Good luck and many thanks. Rod

Ohh, this is a good one. I love your use of autumn volcano. It is very evocative. It evokes autumnal trees erupting everywhere leaves that appear like lava. Your poem is very vivid and descriptive. Thank you for sharing. I wish you success in the contest.

Excellent use of vividly, descriptive words that make Autumn come alive. Autumn is my favorite season and I feel like I am out in nature, observing all the color. Excellent poetic form and use of words.
