I'm glad you like it, Ulla. For some strange reason I love writing stories about snails and slugs.
    Have a nice evening.

Poor Shelly, but her death changed Sheldon's life forever. Great story with a fantastic ending.
I appreciate the way you approached bigotry by using shells' colors and what I felt were adorable little snails.

Suggestions:
-I might fall in love with you.(')
-Yes, the snails in this story have tongues...(I would delete this. It takes the reader out of the story. Quite a jolt to hear the writer's voice.)and this: (yes, they have arms too)

Good luck in the contest.

    Thanks for your comments, Ellen.
I have added the missing inverted comma, thanks for noticing.
I haven't deleted the asides, though as I quite like them, but I see your point.

Hi, M J

= Cute story. Well in keeping prejudices of today.

MJ, I think this is a good story for the Star-Crossed Lovers contest.
It's also a way to get a point across about prejudice. I felt sad when
I realized what was going to happen to Shelly. I think you did very well. photo signature_11_zps8mrazsl4.gif

Oh my, a tragedy actually within a tragedy. Romeo and Juliet were recreated with Sheldon and Shelly. This was a great little story that addressed the one sided feelings of some parents that even exists in these times. I guess the goodness is that Sheldon took a stand and perhaps his father learned a lesson. Great job, thanks.

It took me a little bit to figure out I wasn't reading about a boy and his pet snail. It's a sad story, right down to Shelly getting crunched.

Hehe I love this story and i appreciate the hidden meaning This my friend is a great illustrated children's book that could have many more books told of the adventures of Sheldon the blue shell snail.

A very well-written story about diversity between different races and sexes. We are all one human race, it is time to accept each other's differences and live without prejudice.
