Yes, Jimi, I need to start posting more. This is my, gulp, sixth poem posted on FanStory this year. Given that it was a contest entry, fans such as you were not notified. I am thrilled my poem about controlling dogs placed second. Thanks for your review.

Haha. This is an entertaining piece of poetry dear sis cat! I like the idea of a person following a dog as some actually don't seem to have a master over the family member.
Thank you for sharing!
Congrats!
Blessings!.

Very nice. I love how your wrote what alot of dog owners feel like sometimes. I always tell my friends who own dogs that they need to understand its the other way around...you are the dog's puppy and its taking care of you lol great poem and good luck!

There is no way I can see to improve this delightful Senryu that you and Mina wrote. It is vividly expressive, the imagery is great and the wording is perfect. The final line is brilliant. I loved everything about it. Good luck in the contest.

You might be describing me and my 16-year-old dog when we walk )or should I say "toddle") around the block. Good image of the dog whose nose is always active any season, but especially in autumn.

Oh, yes, RodG, a dog's "nose is always active any season, but especially in autumn." Thank you for your review for a fellow toddler.

Although I don't know about "nose sniffing," I like the other fourteen syllables a lot! That's a pretty good score. ;) Good luck in the voting!

I totally get this. My daughter had a boxer for several years - she was HUGE. We'd go for 'walks', but if she got it in her mind to go another way -- or to chase a bird, for example, it was over. She was dragging me through the grass. I knew immediately who was actually in charge! hahahahahaha

Good luck!

Yes, Robyn, I laughed when I read your review about the HUGE boxer who dragged your daughter everywhere. Thanks for the laugh.

I so know what you mean and that is one of the reasons I like the poem. Once my ex and myself were walking his new little puppy and we got to laughing so hard because we said that people were saying, "Look at that little puppy walking those 2 chubby people." LOL great job.

Oh my land, this is terrific. You got a good laugh from me with the role reversal. Having never had a dog I have seen a few walks that seemed to have this exact flavour to them.

I should say you have magnificently risen to the challenge of writing a satirical senryu.

This is a fine job and I wish you all the best in the contest.

Oh, thank you, Gloria, for your review of my poem and your praise that I "have magnificently risen to the challenge of writing a satirical senryu." Your review means a lot to me because another reviewer argued that my poem was not a satire. I am glad you understood the "exact flavor" of my satirical senryu. Thank you for your review and for wishing me success in the contest.

Okay, this got my funny bone! LOL I have a couple of dags and I admit that the beagle walks me when we go out. I can actually feel this one and relate to it. Great poem. Bruce.
