This 5-7-5 about a bird, Pink, has the syllables right, a slant rhyme in the first two lines, and completely sells me on the idea of a flamingo being the tall, sultry, 'super model' of the avi community.

Once a flock of flamingos landed on the lake where I live, a huge pink dot. The sound they made was a muffled chattering sound. That was cool. Thanks for the review, cheers, j

I like this a lot. However, a question: Does the Haiku form dictate the omission of capitalisation? Or, was this intentional on your part? If the latter: Why?

Regardless of those question though, this is a neat three liner.

Thanks for the review, I am not an expert, but haiku has minimal punctuation, ahhh those Japanese. I just like small letters myself. There is a great site that gives the basic characteristic of every poem, very interesting and helpful, just google 'poetry types'. Cheers, j

Great concept!
Comparing these birds to models is a wonderful image.
Nice, simple, but evocative title.
Good choice of illustration.
Good luck!

Thanks for the insightuful review. We had a flock of flamingos land in the middle of the lake. It was so cool, a huge pink circle and they made a muffled clucking noise. They always remind me of models, skinny and aloof. Cheers, j

In this very short poem you have captured the appearance of flamingos and the personality of these showy birds. They do seem to strut like models rather than walk and their posture is tall and straight.

Thanks for the review. We had a flock of these beautiful birds land in the middle of the lake. A huge pink circle and this muffled, clucking noise. They always remind me of models, thin and aloof, chers, j
