Sometime dreams tell us who and what we really are, this is a fine spiritual poem about our free will emergence, well said and well done. Keep writing. DR ALCREATOR

This poem flows very nicely, and ends with a beautiful prayer. I think you did a really good job on this, and I have no improvement suggestions. All the best - Cheryl

I believe we can learn from our dreams, they can teach us much. "To cautiously start the engine of discovery" is a wonderful line that shows how open we can be when we dream. Excellent free verse form.

Hi Vance, as we have discussed before--gratitude is such a
gift to take the sting out any day where we start to go in the
wrong direction. Going to sleep at night with gratitude insures a good night. Marilyn

Oh dear, what a marvelously uplifting and enriching poem. Yes, dreams can be wonderful things, although they can also be torment. I wonder, sometimes, if what we do while awake affects what we will dream, IF we will dream. I know that when I am sad I look forward to sleep in hopes of good dreams...
Thank you for sharing this perspective - I think it just might be of tremendous help to some - I KNOW it will be to me.

Beautiful words as always. You shine rays of hope in your words. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm always inspired by your words. I've recently made more peace with him regardless of the awful pain I've been through. He's allowed me to still feel him near and I realize it's this that helps me get through. Keep writing your inspiring thoughts.

Hah-ha, "Nightwheres", 'ey, Vance?
Excellent word play, your Grayness...
Silently and softly, I slide into the vehicle of silence ... A fabulous melody of "s" sounds here, Vance. Good metaphor used as well for loneliness...
I slowly squeeze my eyes tightly shut
To cautiously start the engine of discovery
The lights begin to flash and sparkle freely ... My own "engine of discovery" usually coughs and sputters when first being started. A little starter fluid seems to help do the trick. I think the layman's term for it is Jack Daniel's ...
I whisper: "Dear God let me have rich words to share
And to heal my world by inspiring others to songs of joy,
To words and works of love, inspiration and, constant ... A-h-h-hh, yes. Those noblest of intentions, and the very reasons for which some poets write as they do...
"For God's everlasting, ever-present, magnificent gifts". .. Of which, if we're fortunate enough to possess His gifts, we should be eternally grateful, regardless of what form they might appear as...
Wonderfully emotive, highly expressive, Vance.
Fabulous work, sir.

Brother Vince,
What a unique poem! How true it is the wonder world
dream land.
I often dream I'm in a pulpit preaching to a large crowd
but can't find the text I'm preaching about.
I once dreamt I was awake only to wake up and discover I was asleep.
Someone has said, "When you can't sleep, don't count the sheep, talk to the Shepherd."
The blessing of our Father be upon you,
Bro. Jerry MARANATHA!!!
