Hi Dan. It's interesting that many of us looked at the image and saw the setting sun. Your poem interprets the picture as dawn--the start of a new day. Morning is my favorite time of day, too. Good rhyming within your poem, positive and uplifting. Marilyn

Bravo! Oh what a serene peaceful morning dusk and, Dan, your orange and white colors match landscape so perfectly. My dainty fairies must be sleeping. Your verses rhyme so magnificently. lol liberty justice

Dan,
I enjoyed your poem for the challenge group. You did a great job with the message & the rhymes. I like your reference to prayer rising with the sun. We all have so much to be thankful for & we need to use our time wisely.

Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

This is such a lovely morning prayer Dan (what we Catholics call
a matin) :-)

I like the way you saw this as a photo as a rebirth. . .restored by
a night of rest, the dawning of a new day revives our gratitude
and stirs us to praise our benefactor.

Nicely done :-)

Thanks for the comments. There will be more Catholic themes after I finish my seasonal poems with the fairies. I am thinking of doing the Corporal Works of Mercy poems and will see what after that.

A very well-written poem and interpretation of the 'picture this' challenge. The night time comes after the sun sets it is time to thank God for a day that ends well.

I like the picture of the sun poking out of the trees and the orange background colour. I also like the picture and the smoothness of the poem. Thank you for sharing and well done.

I love your use of 'dusk' to describe
a morning scene. We associate dusk with evening.
But you're right. Morning has a dusk, too.
I've always called it 'false dawn'.
Same thing.

Well done.

Peace, Lee
