Excellent chapter with lots of drama, tension, and great images of Tina going for help in the dark. Conflict between believers and unbelievers causes more anxiety for us readers, Giddy

Thank you, Giddy, for your wonderful six star rating, and for being such a loyal reader. I'll put another chapter out as soon as I can get it "cleaned up". Again, thank you ever so much,

Rhonda, another excellent chapter! The lives and the world of Miltonville depends on whether little Tina Alice can get on to Emory Settler for a much needed help. Seems like the town of Miltonville is seemingly out of touch with what is happening at the middle school.

Enjoyed reading this one because of little Tina A.

Hope you have a great day, Rhonda.

Regards,

Jim

A nice chapter with well written dialogue. I like Tina. She is going to take charge herself, if she can't find anyone to help. Hopefully, she won't get into trouble.

Thank you for the review! Poor Tina's a trouble magnet, I'm afraid, but she's a Daredevil Girl now, and I'm sure she gives out more than she gives. lol.

    Have a great day,

Great story. You use lots of dialog. I like this. It moves the story along and holds the reader's interest. Dialog is a tool that a lot of writers don't use.

Thanks so much for the review! It's funny, but I usually use more, and this was one with lots of non dialogue passages. I don't like those, and people don't usually like them much, either. I'm glad to know it worked for you!

A chapter of relief and frustration: relief that Tina made it out of the school, and frustration that the police won't believe her. You handled both of these elements very well. Your dialog is nicely timed, and you capture the distinctness of child vs. adult accurately.

Hi Rhonda, my grandchildren would like this tension ride, I think, and congratulate you for making it so realisticly set in our times. So realistic, it was close to the bone for me knowing how many of us get drugged because `nobody wants to believe our truths;' especially when our most powerful institutions are the villains - forty or so years before the sensationalizing Royal Commission labels the odd long- protected and supported villain.

Indeed, I'm inspired or provoked to think quite deeply into the narrow pit of my experience and changing literary fashions and their times, and how much of our deepest cultural denials leading to the sad realities today - such as one in five women in Australia, and much of our value ridden first world, killed in the home, leaving on average two damaged children who are quite likely to become victims for lives of the same men running our top, protective institutions, or `calming' services.

From me, in this very personal light, six stars, thanks for the stirring, Maureen*&*

Another fine chapter, Rhonda--and it all makes sense now, I always disliked a couple of my 7th grade teachers, and now I know why!

Oh my goodness! They're in a tight spot. Typical that the non-magical folks doubt the truth being told to them. I hope she finds Emory Settler soon. He'll straighten this mess out. Looking forward to reading more :)

Yes, it's hard to get those on the "outside" to accept what isn't easy to believe, but they will all "get it" soon!

Thanks for the R & R, and for finding that "your" for me. Someone else mentioned it, but not where it was contextually, so I've been searching for it. Thanks!!

    Take care,
