This is creepy, which makes for a great crime/murder mystery. I will NOT read this one at night! You have pulled us right in from the get-go by having us see inside the murder's thought process. We know he is about to practice his 'trade'. That is how to create suspense! You have chosen a clever title, too.
One small note: A stack of manila folders were scattered...'Were scattered' refers to 'a stack' so I think it should read 'A stack of manila folders was scattered' even though that sounds a little awkward.
Great job in leaving us wondering what the missing link is that Holt has discovered.
You are doing a wonderful job with this story and I look forward to reading more of it....with the lights on, of course!

This is going to be good!! I like a good murder mystery. I hate clowns, they scare the living daylights out of me, I hate the way they hide their faces. And they're ugly! So, has he found the missing link? I look forward to the next part. :) Sandra

Yes, the creepy picture is a good match to your story. Your opening lines certainly grabbed our attention! I like the way you slowly revealed the cross-country circus connection. The detective being "stalked" by the "monster" was intriguing. I admired your use of detail to add to the realism and your leaving us in total suspense. To be continued... -Joan

A very dark and gruesome short story. You have a way of pulling the reader into the story quickly and easily with your way of writing.

Hi Cody's Corner,
You have written a very interesting poem that I enjoyed reading. So please be sure to post a lot more of them. I'm always ready to read a good story even if
they are kind of scary. LOL

Okay, who told you I'm afraid of clowns. Nice one I'll be awake all night. The story is moving along nicely. Hope Cody's okay.

Cody is not part of this story.
This is the introduction to everyone's favorite clown, BeeBo and his rich history.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Again excellently written and no problems noted.
Again you left us hanging, waiting for the next part to take us over the edge again.
Very good and I am so glad to be part of this wonderful task

Brett, now really? Is this fair to just leave us like this? Actually a very smart move, if I must say, but I wanted more. Although this is not an original subject on a storyline, it is a given that it will come with a twist which has not come before. I am sure of this.. well done.. jimi

It is part of a rather original storyline actually. It is the story of BeeBo the Clown from Astatula, The Cody Schroder stories. Will warn you I do plan to go graphic with this tale! So enjoy!
