I agree with you just how sad the animals are treated on this earth, it is heartless people have no feeling. Your letter is well written, I wish you the best of luck in the contest Mary

If I really think about about the cruelty, I go crazy. We are working on an antipoaching project in Tanzania, to save the elephants. The more I learn about them and the ivory trade, the more insane it becomes. They are killing these incredibly clever and intuitive animals for mere tusks. Google the elephant whisperer to see how cosmic they are, true story. When they find a dead member of the herd, they wrest the tusks, then pass it around, much like we humans cherish the ashes of our loved ones, sigh. Cheers, j

Great!!. This talks about a sphere of life that everyone seems to ignore. I totaly love the concept and also the use of simple words to potray a bigger idea. Great work

Thanks for the review queenuju. Welcome to fanstory and I look forward to sharing our stories.I am a Canadian living in Tanzania for 20 years. We are working on antipoaching here to save the elephants from the brink. This was a prompt, write a letter to God and I figured the animals needed a little help these days.Cheers, j

This is an excellent piece, following the remit of the writing prompt well.
The sentiments expressed are worded with a craft that engenders empathy - both for the writer and the subject matter. That is neat crafting.
And, your last line is just exquisite. See you on Sunday brings intimacy to your work. Nicely done.
I enjoyed reading this. Good luck with the competition :-)

Yeah, I figured the animals need a little prayer these days. Working on antipoaching and learning about the elephants here in Tanzania, I really have to wonder why we are killing these beautiful, intuitive beings for tusks. sigh. Thanks for the encouraging review, cheers, j
