You have brought forth a fault that we all deal. We don't talk to our Lord as much as we should. He definitely wants our conversation and we often put other things before our time to talk with Him. You have brought out the disappointment that this causes Him and the faithfulness and dedication He has towards us. This is a beautiful poem of faith and I love the choice of artwork. Hi Teri.
True enough. Talking to God early in the day sets a positive tone and puts us on the right track. I like your rhyming couplets and especially these lines:
"You see Lord, you don't see me sitting here in my gown and messy hair.
You see my heart and I try to keep it full of love and always be fair."
We don't need a church, do we?

I think you're right, as long as we listen also. I remember a friend told me he was praying one day, and he thought he heard the Lord say, "shut up and listen for a change!" I'm not sure if it's true or not, God knows. But I my faith on that these days. A poet has an advantage, he can write as God dictates.
