A nice, honest reflection on your life, you have a vreatattitude and relationschip with your Savior, the most important for sure. There seems lots of more natural ways to fight off the prostate cancer besides traditional ways. Ive heard it said by many alternative like docs that oftentimes the prostate cancer is so slow growing that old age could take you before the prostate cancer, when left untreated, your still young enough though, Id just say if not started the reg treatment, there is time for research and chking all options. Just a thought God surely blesses you and your writes, they are always a nice read.

I have been through prostate cancer treatments twice, radiation 2005, freezing procedure 2009. The second failed and I am now finding out the radiation didn't complete the job as my prostate is still active. Oh well!

I think writing down our thoughts and prayers is cathartic and I hope that this was for you Jim.
We all have our regrets. But, those who learn from their mistakes and lean on our Savior for forgiveness have a great retirement plan.
So sorry about the health issues.

It is a rare life that has no great losses, no turning points, no "If I 'd known then what I know nows" and "The paths of glory lead only to the grave." conclusions. I might say "years have" not "years has." Excellent poem.

I have often felt it is extremely important to get these sorts of thoughts from merely simply being thoughts, and onto paper, notepad, or computer--out of our heads and souls for good.
Those who can do as you've done here so expressively do so with the knowledge that it is a purging of the soul, of sorts, and it's better to get them out than it is to allow them to simmer, fester, and boil up inside of you like an infected pimple on the verge of eruption on an adolescent's face.
Your rhyming is good, although the read is just a little bit choppy in some places as it relates to rhythm, or flow.
All in all, a fine poem, Jim, and an outstanding presentation to accompany it.
