Hi, Jim,

Wow, you've almost managed a whole life story in this biographical poem! Well done! Just one nit, for grammar:

"I'm sixty-seven, life and years (have) passed..."

You'll also want to check the end of most of your lines - you've used a period instead of a comma. (Seems like you might be having trouble seeing the darn things - me too, before I got my new glasses. They're STILL darn near invisible! LOL

Good job.

Best Wishes,
Dawn

Dawn, thank you for this great review and excellent comments. Also, thank you for noticing my mistakes. You are right about those doggone commas and periods.

I hope you have a great day my friend,,,,,,, Jim

Brave, serene, and nicely penned. So much thought concerning life, and there is never an easy answer, only a certain inevitability. Oh I wish there were no illnesses, just a passing of life at its time. Still, keep striving, my friend.
My wishes are with you.
Have a good day.

Your life in a poem, very tastefully and honestly written, Jim. But, now you have another love in your life, could this be a possible, third time lucky in marriage??? It's a nice thought my friend. You certainly deserve it. Lovely, my dear friend. Love you always, Sandra xxx

We all feel this way as we get older and closer to the end of our lives. I do, and everyone I know my age does. It's just part of life--the last part. Good time to count your blessings and live each day for all the joy you can find in it. THe worst thing to do in old age is dwell on regrets and shut yourself out from life. As long as you can still do something, find a way to enjoy it. :)

Hi Jim thank you for sharing this very intimate verse that tells of your life's journey thus far. Though you talk of the downfalls and sadly , ill health, the poem remains positive in its emotional feel. That is indeed noble and a wonderful way to view life's journey Jim. I am sure your positivity has thus far had a beneficial effect on your 67 years.. May you continue to see the good in all that comes your way.. Take care Jim and thanks for sharing a part of your world.. happy smiles from mel xxx

Mel, thank you for this review and excellent comments. It has been an interesting life to say the least. No complaints, no regrets. Everything I did, I did it! No one forced me. Some things worked out, others didn't. I learned from my mistakes, never to repeat them again.

Very well said, mate. First, I wish that you feel fine at the moment. I admire you for being able to move forward despite of all those trials and tribulations. This is very touching and inspiring. A well written and presented poem. You talk about your life and your problems in a direct clear fashion.

I believe that this is good because it tends to relieve that pent up emotion be it grief or even anger. A worry shared is is a worry halved.

It's never too late Jim, could be third time lucky. Best of luck... ~Mel~

A life lived, experiences galore, maybe not of the most jovial in nature but nonetheless I doubt that there were no optimistic sensations. Power to you friend in being able to reflect on the difficulty with such optimism... I imagine it is not easy. You seem to accept the state of your body, it's current affliction. Well done, this is the first step in the healing process. I believe you will shortly surprise yourself...

Thank you joannakruk for this review and your great comments. Took a while for me to right the ship, but as soon as that happened, the cancers and other afflictions took over. It has been one battle after another, but with my Savior on my side, I've made it this far. I will continue to fight until my end!

    Enjoy the day and evening,,,,,,,,,Jim

Jim,
Thank you for sharing a bit of your thoughts with FS in this bio poem. The issues you have dealt with & are currently dealing with are sad. But we all know trials & tribulations are part of life. What is important is how one deals with them. You seem to have made peace with your past & are looking forward.

Take care. Jan
