A well-written and fun poem. You tell your story in interesting ways. It is told in educational and historical lessons, which are quite interesting. My favorite stanza is the last one with a climatic end of finding "a finer final word!" I was glad to read the author's notes, about the poem which was written by Lord Byron in your reference to "The Destruction of Sennacherib". You are well-read and it comes across handily for the rhymes word and absurd. I've been told by another Fanstorian that life and strife are to be avoided when rhyming in a poem. But I believe it works, in this case, very well. Thank you for the lesson on the last word in the lexicon.
Peace, Jesse

Many thanks for your review, Jesse. You are right that there are some rhyme pairs that are overdone, which can make them seem secondhand. I suppose that, in the end, it all depends on the overall context of the poem.

After reading your author notes, I find this well written poem to be quite clever! You have created a very comfortable rhyme and rhythm that makes it a pleasure to read.
