A picture is worth a thousand words but you're wonderfully versed poem did the trick with much less. The combination of the two is very effective. What I really liked the most was the last ending thought.

First, I have to comment on this wonderful photograph - your daughters are so beautiful, Roy; seriously - they glow! And the family resemblance is quite remarkable.

Now your marvelous poem: I think I have a new favorite of your poems, my friend, or darn close! What a tender, beautiful verse you've written, right from those first two elegant lines:"The darkness flees when first light comes and strikes the morning dew..." Gorgeous!

Such a lovely tribute to your daughter(s), Roy! I could certainly identify with your words, for I have daughters as well. I love the way you express your feelings. Your opening line is lovely-"The darkness flees when first light comes". You contrast the dark with so many words that signify brightness, such as excitement, joy, shines, gem, love..... Nice work!
