This poem rhymes well and has good rhythm. I especially like the first stanza:
No words to soothe
so I won't even try,
But I'll hold you close
and together we'll cry.
Probably the best way to comfort is to just listen and cry with the person. You told it well.

I hope you won't be offended, but you might try selling this verse to Hallmark or another greeting card company as the sentiments expressed are beautiful and would appeal to a universal audience. Just enough words and very well chosen.
