It is very difficult to make a cohesive thought work with a 1-6-1 poem and have all three lines rhyme. You have succeeded in producing one that is not only cohesive but profound. Wishful thinking is a wonderful title for this deep little poem.

Nice poem with a deep message to the reader. Well done as a 1-6-1 syllable count poem. Your message carries weight, for it relates to the wars our country is going through now. Terrorist invading our country and killing our people, is a mockery of our Freedom. All Americans should feel safe within their own country. Allowing the enemies to invade and take away our rights is incomprehensible. The worst part is, they are protected...we are not!! I liked your poem! Good luck with the contest!

Relevant and timely plea for an end to violence. I'm not sure if prayer alone will get it done, but it 's a good place to start. Maybe one day we won't need a poem like this and that will be a good thing.
