I think the only way towards 'true peace' is conciliation, Ulla, whether we initially agree with the 'enemy's' outlook or not.

Extremist terrorists mostly seem to believe in a God, and if there is such an entity, surely there is only ONE, so everyone of Faith has something in common (without the different 'bells and whistles'), whether they think so or not.

Therefore, 'to pray for peace' seems a major step forward for everyone of Faith.

Very well said in word economy.

Ulla, this is an excellent contest entry with a powerful message. The killing all around the world must stop. This isn't the world that was created by God. The terrorist attacks in the name of Allah is a joke. I don't remember being taught this way when I went to Catholic school. There are so many killings here in America that it has gotten out of control. I wish you good luck in this contest.

Hi Jim, thanks a lot for this great review. It's sad times we live in and they only believe in hate. They honestly believe that Allah tells them to kill all infidels. That being other Muslim and of course Jews and Christians. It's frightening. The same is happening in Europe all the time. The killings I mean. All the best. Ulla:))

There are far too many where violence has become their god - their sole reason to live.

Lovely short piece. Yes, the violence must stop but unfortunately prayer alone will not suffice. Action is necessary, vital, quintessential to prevent heinous crimes. Let's join hands and take a physical stand.
