Well, Ulla, 1-6-1 poetry doesn't get any better than this, in my estimation. It IS wishful thinking, but if it even takes the gun out of ONE hand, it's still a worthwhile plea - at least that's MY belief.

A wonderful message in this 1-6-1 poem, my friend. I don't know if cease and please are true rhymes--maybe in the way you pronounce them. But it would be a slant rhyme which is okay too. Like I said, love the message. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie

Your short poem proclaims the cry in all our hearts. When will it stop. Hate has been unleashed, it seems. Nothing is gained by violence. We pray for peace each day here and I'm sure peaceful people elsewhere are praying too.

Though please and cease are not a hard rhyme, I think they are firm enough. The one six one is difficult to use for a profound statement,
