what a beautifully worded letter. Ghastly description of the procedure. I always tell a surgeon, "Just do it. I don't want to hear the details." My husband would cry too if my familiar face looked torn. As you say, it will fade away. As to why bad things happen to good people, that's one of the topics we talk about me in my spiritual class. I wrote it down to include in my metaphysical essays.

Thank you so much for commenting on my letter to my sister. I doubted if I should send it to her. I love her so
much and only want her to heal quickly.

Hi Jo--
Spiritually this is not really my cup of tea. But, aside from that, I think you've done an excellent job trying to help your sister. I know I would be moved and encouraged by your letter. Why do bad things happen? Don't know, maybe the answer's in the way we think about things -- good/bad, beautiful/ugly, etc. We divide things into morally loaded categories. I know "bad feelings" somethings are the door or gate to forbidden, or hard to take knowledge. Maybe this is one of those places?

I do not have time today to read the new chapter to your novel. I am up in Canada and only in town where there's wi-fi for repairs on the car. I will get to it when I can. Happy to see it up again.

Jeff

Oh Jo. This is so sad. I can feel for your sister because I had cancer on my nose too. It just left a small scar that is hardly noticed now but I was really concerned. Didn't they offer her plastic surgery? God Bless her. Why? When things like this happen and we always wonder why. xxx Nancy

Thank you , Nancy, for your heartfelt sympathy. I hope your Cancer never returns. This is my sister's second bout with it
on her nose. An ENT did the surgery. I asked her about a plastic surgeon and she said she trusted the ENT. My thought if it was my nose I would have requested a plastic.

My nose had seven sutures. Like looking through a dead briarpatch. Then the doc was surprised...not cancer. Excellent missive to sis, hope her
nose heals as well as mine.

Hi Jo,

I'm so sorry about your sister, but I'm glad they were able to remove the cancer. I didn't know it could go to the nose, but thinking about it after reading what you wrote, I suppose it can go anywhere.

Yes, Kat, cancer can be found anywhere. This is the 2nd surgery she has had on her nose. The 1st lasted about
ten years. Now the cancer came back. My hopes is she never has to experience this again. Thanks for reading

Cancer is a horrible thing. I hope she never has to experience it for the third time. Kat

What a wonderful, compassionate, very personal letter! I hope it blest your sister, and your future's in meeting the challenges of this life, with growing strength in God's love, and knowing we all are birthed to gift to the advancing potential of the Harvest of Christ, embodied through our journey's in time. It seems to me God is so happy to work through your love, compassion, and gift with his Creative Word; especially as your sister and her husband face themselves each day anew.

I wish I had six stars left, for there is a special gift I feel here for all our humanity unfolding with the increasing and hoped for potentials of our time. Thank you so much for sharing, blessings for your family on the Way, Maureen*&*

As a Christian I've been asked that same question many times, Jo, I don't ask anymore! There's a dear, dear.friend in our church, a wise and wonderful mother, friend, grandmother, a mother to many in our church, badly needed by many I fear is being called home, she is only concerned for others, like your sister. Well done Jo, beautifully and sensitively written, I wish I could answer your question. Blessings, Roy

Sometimes I don't believe we are meant to understand all of the Why's? God allows to come our way or to a loved one, JustJo. We're merely expected to accept them and by faith believe that He always has our best interests at heart.

This is a very heartfelt write to your older sister, Carolyn. She sounds like such a wonderful person and a role model which you have justifiably looked up to all of your life.

Hopefully the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, will give you all the comfort you and your family need.

Take care...
God bless.
Dean

Thank you, Dean, for your kindness and encouragement. Yes, I love my sister so much. I have always placed her
on a very high pedestal. My sister and I both know that God is still on HIS throne and is in control. We are blessed
    beyond human measure.
