Thanks for the encouraging review Sandra. I have learned how intuitive and loving these elephants are. It breaks my heart that they are still being killed just for their ivory. The families actually grieve when a member is killed so traumatically. Do you know the story of the elephant whisperer? When I read that story, I realized how much we could learn from these magnificient beasts. Cheers, j

Beautiful sentiments expressed as a Psalm. He created these majestic animals and must feel extremely angry and disappointed that man who was made in His image is consumed by greed. Well done.

I am involved with antipoaching here in Tanzania. The ivory poachers are killing these beautiful, intuitive, loving elephants at an awful rate. I have learned more about them and how clever and family oriented they are and it just breaks my heart that they are killed for mere ivory. Google the elephant whisperer for a true story of how cosmic these animals are. Thanks for the review June, j

Although I don't believe in God you've hit the nail on the head. They are beautiful creatures I like that "gentle beasts" but animals are they don't try and kill you because you said the wrong thing....they don't patronise you because you don't share their same ideas. And this sums us up "they are no match against the greed". I hate greed with a vengeance it makes me mad and uve done a good job with this poem. So you may believe in God to protect them, I hope the good people of the world stop poachers.

I'm sorry, changing the name of the psalm still does not make this fit the requirements....

A beautiful poem, the elephants are in fact a mighty and wonderful *creation* of God most High. Their abilities and the compassion are renown; however, according to the contest rules, this is supposed to be exclusively about God, not His creations - i.e. elephants.

So unless you are exclusively praising Him for His ability to create - (the how's, why's, where's, who's, and what's), and the different ways you, in a Psalm, are extolling Him for His ability to create, then you haven't fulfilled the requirements. Therefore, it is an inaccurate Psalm according to the guidelines for the contest.

This is a fabulous psalm exclusively about the elephant, and asking God to intervene on their behalf. Certainly a good prayer, but not one exclusively about God as the guidelines require, and according to the examples given in Psalms 103 and 145 for this contest, I'm afraid. I'm sorry. The above are the reasons for the low rating.

One of God's attributes is the belief that he watches over and protects those in need and the elephants are in need of divine intervention. I changed the title because I can, not for your little stars, cheers j

very nice, a psalm about trophy hunters or for ivory hunters. for one day there will be no more to hunt, then maybe realization may set in.

We are antipoaching now in Tanzania. The poachers are killing them on a daily basis, for their tusks. Elephants are so intuitive and clever it is so sad that we are allowing this to happen. They are killing more than are being born. Maybe google elephant whisperer for just an idea of how clever they are, Cheers and thanks for the review, j
