This is so sweet. I often question what keeps people together in a marriage. Most of my relatives have seen their golden anniversaries and still they hold hands. Is it commitment? Love? The right person? I do not know, but you must have found it.

She's a damned lucky wife to have such devotion like you have for her, considering that men are known to be polygamous. You are also damned lucky to have wife like her. What I am saying is, the success of marriage depends on the balancing act between two partners, their deep love for each other and God in between all the time.

I give this 5 stars because it's a tender tribute to a wife who deserves it after 55 years of perhaps being taken for granted. Better late than never, I say, and more power to the man who finally owns his transgressions and wants to publicly atone for them.

I loved to read you praise of your wife. My husband and I shared some of the same experiences. I have come to value him even more since he is not here anymore. We had a good time for 51 years. Sorry he's gone one without me. You did a good job.
