How humbling to consider one's self in comparison to whomever one considers the Creator of all being. You have done a beautiful job of it, using the imagery of wind as a mere puff to be you and mighty breeze to be the Lord.

How true. How brief our time on earth is. I like your comparisons--just a glimpse or glitch. We actually have not control over our stay. That is up to God, as you write. Yes, time can be gone with just a glance. We can't determine what will happen from day to day. Excellent expression. Great ABCB rhyme, and it flows smoothly. Really something to think about. judi

Roy,
I enjoyed your poem about man's place in time. You are right--everything is controlled by God. I like your use of rhyme & the artwork is perfect. My favorite line is: 'I move by God's great power." This is so true. We are nothing if not with God.

Good job and thanks for sharing & caring. Jan

Perfect rhyme and flow and a powerful message given at the same time.
All truthful words, the hairs are numbered and he know what we will do and say even before we do

Hello Roy,

Yes, our time here on earth IS just a passing shadow in the grand scheme of things. Such a smooth flowing poem, Roy! Excellent rhyming and good imagery created for your reader. My favourite line is: "He writes Earth's final dance" ... very original.

A lovely poem that I enjoyed reading!

God doesn't reckon time the way we do. A minute in heaven might be a millennia on Earth. In fact, we base all of our time as it relates to Christ's death, before (BC) and after (AD). A millennia is a period of a thousand years, especially when calculated from the traditional date of the birth of Christ. So aren't our mortal lives nothing more than a wafting whisper on the breezes of eternity?

Good work, Roy.

Excellent artwork that complements your religious poem perfectly. Thanks for mentioning which psalm it is based on. God decides when your life ends. I liked my life is like a breath of wind best.

A well written poem that puts our "tempests in a teapot" into proper perspective. These lines jumped out at me and resonate:
"Yet God has written every word,
and managed every hour.
And though on earth my footprint fades,
I move by God's great power."
