You know, we never know what goes through the thoughts of those that turn into mass murders seemingly overnight but I think you hit on one scenario.
Now call me next time and i'll help

vacant, vapid and hardbones... sounds like a law firm ha ha. very poignant reading, especially in light of the florida shooting yesterday.
i guess we never really know what someone is thinking, feeling, planning and when they feel enough is enough and act. well written and a pleasure to read and review

Mikey-
An interesting piece on an all-too-familiar story.
Sad, isn't it, that this is the only way out of a bad situation for what appears to be so many? Well-written, given the diary perspective.

Yeah. They're armed now. Back in the day, I used to defend kids like this. Now, he'd probably shoot me. Jeesh. mikey

Amusing entry to the contest. Diary fiction. Billy Bristil. Nice alliteration. Hahaha, very humorous, almost every line here. Nice job on this contest withing the closed group. Kudos pilgrim@ Yes, perhaps they should had left him alone? Like this paragraph: Breaking News: Another school shooting. 16 dead including the shooter. 12 wounded. Fellow students in shock saying he was a loner... job well done Lion King!

Funny, I just left FB where a pal was wondering if nobody in that mob of clubbers had a pistol or lug wrench to slow the shooter down..all cops can do is count the dead...your boy kept a fine diary. He had a few issues...

Takes a lot of nerve to rush a machine gun with a lug wrench or even a pistol. Yeah, I went to school with a couple kids like this. Of course, kids weren't armed when I went to school. mikey

WELL DONE! Poet tells of a horrific story that has played out too many times in America's schools, theaters, churches, malls. Bullying needs to be reported and stopped. This can save lives. Diary of a Payback is so realistic these days. Michael, did you see the news in Orlando, FLA where terrorist shot up a gay nightclub with machine gun and killed 50 people. On the news now. View mine, and good luck contest today. thanks liberty justice

I love it, esp the ending, where Tina Vapid tells it like it is... was. Kids can be driven to desperate acts just like anyone else, maybe more so, since they have less experience in handling stress. Well done! :)

No punches pulled here, Michael. I remember way back in the day what a stand up dude you were. We didn`t have guns, we had one kid with a switcblade, remember? Dennis o`dell. You took it from him much to everyones amazement. This is so on the money and I agree with your depiction of the media too. NG

Ha! Yeah, bad ass Dennis O'Dell. He was a punk. I told him I'd slit his throat with it if he didn't give it to me. LOL He just gave it to me. What an idiot. He could have just cut me to shreds. Oh well, typical bully. Afraid of some little dude just cause he's crazy. HA! Thanks so much. mike

I'm still glued to the news. Such an atrocity here in Orlando. So many in the LGBT community dead.
Like your story shows, guns are too easy to get. Hate is too prevelant. Venting it via murder by the hands of a disturbed boy or adult should not be a way of life. It seems to be becoming one here in your fictional story but also in reality.
Your character is one of many children who is bullied into drastic action.

Well penned.

I used to defend kids against bullies back in the day. I don't know what I'd do now. They have GUNS. It's getting crazier it seems. I don't know what the answer is. Well, I do, but no one likes it. Ban assault rifles and the like and make it somewhat difficult to get a gun. But, that's crazy talk. I know bullies back down when confronted. It's the kids standing there watching who need to be taught to stand up. mikey

Wow, Sir Mikey,
don't you hold back now, you say it just like it is. How many bars of soap is that gonna' take. Nice writing and very clear as to what was going on. Picked on the wrong one didn't they. Very realistic Mikey.
Well done.
