lol, sounds like fun! I recently had a meet up with Unspoken94 (Bill) and JTStone (Jimmy), it was great fun! So I know just what you mean. ;)
Your poem was fun, and full of great enjoyment of the pleasures, not only of writing, but of meeting up with friends...
my suggestion for the last line is that you leave out the first 'and' to read:
of Norma, Jay and me
;)
Nice to read you again

I agree it would have sounded better without the 'and.' But that would have thrown the syllable count out. Every line had seven syllables.
And I'm a simple man who knows only one way. And as a poet I don't know any way other than simple.

Sometimes it's not about the syllables, it's about the rhythm... That's the simple part... Think about it

What a joy is was to wake up to a poem I was one of the subjects of. It was so great to finally meet you and your lovely wife. Not to mention Norma and her husband. Had a super time, didn't we? If only it could have been a longer visit. I was not looking forward to the long windy way home. Perhaps there will be another time.

Thank you so much. Yesterday really was most enjoyable and will, for me rate as one of the highlights of our trip.
I read you not-so-short story and left my comment on the fabula site. It was a great insight on the male ego which, it would appear doesn't diminish as we grow older. You really are a great writer. Will get to your book once I get home.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on Fabula Argentea. That meant a lot to me. Have a safe remainder of your holiday.

this is a very interesting and nice friendship poem. That is so exciting that you actually got to meet some other fan story people. I am convinced that the people on this site are good in so many ways.

Thanks for all the stars and the confirmation of my belief in the other writers on the site

This poem captures what seems to have been a fine encounter with Fanstory friends and great writers. I read Jay's stuff but seldom comment on it as I would not know what to say. I will have to follow you closely and pick up some good habits.

I'm really quite lucky to be the third best writer in the group. They are also great reviewers and have offered lots of good advice in regard to my writing. In fact, Norma is presently editing a manuscript of mine prior to my submitting it to agents.

That's awesome, Bob. I've been here three years and have yet to meet any of the fine Fanstorians whom I consider my friends face to face.
Great rhyming and a nice story to boot.
Best of luck to you in all your future encounters.

Had I known your location was 'right here' I would have invited you to the party.
We're visiting from Australia and we're in California at the moment.
So I'll just bid you an Aussie 'Gidday' over the net.
Thanks for the review Dean

Hahaha, yes, I'm omnipotent, Bob, all over the place all at once, kind of like my meter in poetry.
You're welcome, sir.
