OMG. How on earth did you cope? You must be a very strong woman to have coped with this life changing event. I'm glad you enjoyed my poem and I hope it helped to cheer you up. Bless you and your children. Hugs :-)Linda

Excellent. Serious, then funny... (Intentionally I hope) nice form a-b-a-b-c-c. The last two lines being blunt yet comical made for a very enjoyable little read. Love it.

Hahaha, I can't say as I blame the good king one bit, Linda.
Speaking purely from a man who's been wronged perspective, first of all, pets are infinitely, far and away more loyal than a woman could ever HOPE to be. They don't ask for much, they love you unconditionally, and in many cases our pets act as if they worship the very ground we walk on.
Not so for the ladies, fair.
Second, do you realize how much money could be made with a talking frog? Oh, I know all about that old Looney Tunes cartoon where the guy found a singing and dancing frog in a top hat who would only perform when no one else was looking but him. But this is different. This frog is obviously female, and there's NO WAY she could ever remain quiet in a crowded room.
In all serious this poem was very well written, wonderfully well rhymed, and funny as he...well... you know.

What a fun review and animation you have come up with here. Funnier than my poem I do find. Yes pets are indeed loyal and I'm sure all women aren't fickle, you were obviously unlucky. Thanks for the entertainment. Best regards Linda

Yes, I was, Linda. Very unlucky.
Twice, LOL...
You're very welcome.

You capture the reader right
off and hold on all the way through
your lines. Mesmerized, waiting to
see where this ride would take us--
we follow through to the end. Your
well chosen words weave a tale that
is delightful and it the end your
humorous wit a hoot, is the perfect
conclusion. Lora

That was very funny. I enjoyed your poem, and it made me laugh. I was originally drawn to it because I'm a fantasy writer, but this was funny. Rhyme scheme looked good.
Take care,
Russell

This is a most original and funny poem. From the interesting rhyme scheme, the engaging storyline, and the hilarious ending, your poem entertains and is one of the best I've read in awhile.

Lol,
I'd rather have a talking frog, too. This lighthearted poem gave me a much-needed chuckle. It's written well. Word choice throughout is excellent.
"I won't kiss you you'r too ugly"
Well done, and write on!

Haha one may say the Prince was wise in his request for the frog in lieu of a bride. At least the frog wouldn't argue with him. A fun piece, I wonder how many princes in our history had a similar secret withheld.
Thank you for sharing.

LOL - a tale of Camelot newly discovered! Replete with talking frogs and
a gay Prince.
Seems to me the Prince had a very god answer for the flirtatious frog :-)
(The King it would seem, is in for some disappointing news on the Heir
to the Kingdom front!)
Fun poem to read :-)
