Cute cat. Five stars. Looks like snubby nose cat has attitude or is bored. Something is very unthusiastic to cat.

-Great image--is that the infamous Grumpy Cat?
-I like your take on the 2-4-2; very humorous.
-I think you have the correct syllable count.
-I ap-pre-ci-ate you breaking down the syllables to make it clear
and un-der-stand-a-ble.
-I think you have a winner!

Thanks for the kind words. Just having a little jab at this ridiculous form.

Well, that about sums it up
in a single eight syllable word
that wouldn't even fit in a 5-7-5 haiku
Talk about irony
Great picture of grumpy ole cat
Good luck with the judges
maybe they'll greet your entry - enthusiastically
(that's only seven)

    Thank you.

I rather fancy the judges will be unenthisiastic too, bit this tickled my fancy!

Gotta love that cat picture :) Your approach to this contest is unique. You managed to stretch one word out quite the way Garfield would say it. You're just missing the yawn. You got top marks from me for this original contest entry.

    Thanks, Joy.

I do like to try something different, and I was having a little fun at the expense of whoever created this ridiculous contest. Of course, the ultimate irony would be if I should win it.

Well, I will be laughing the hardest, since I haven't won anything all year and this one is basically taking the piss out if the form and the ridiculous contest. To my amazement, this has garnered more six-star ratings than other stuff I have slaved over...

Thanks for the blah de blah!

This famous cat lives not far from me, and what an internet rage his owners have created for him. Your 2-4-2 completely commits to the metering while getting your point across, or should I say grumpy cat's point across... Very well expressed.

Thanks, Mary. I didn't know the cat was famous, but I can definitely see why!

Yes, I as making a point - this contest is ridiculous. There, that's 8 syllables too.

Hi Steve;
-I must admit that your imagination is quite inventive and ingeniously creative with breaking up the letters of the word very well.
-Pictures very appropriate and made me laugh and I thought it was also relative and supported to the conceptual theme of the writing.
-Good luck in the contest and may the good Lord be with you always my friend.

I always like different, and also cynicism, Steve.

I'm assuming this is a piss-take of the daft and pointless restrictive format of this poem's structure, and I agree even though I entered too for a quick fix.

Nice one, my 'ally'. ;-)

Cheers, Ray.

    Piss-take it is.

Congratulations on recognizing one when you see it! You would be surprised how many six-star reviews this bit of silliness has garnered.

Nothing on this site wold 'surprise' me, Steve...EXCEPT wanky forms like this NOT being described as, 'poetry' (I entered, myself, LOL), seeing more poets write rhyme/structured poetry in meter, or more detailed perceptive reviews. ;-) Ray.

Dear kiwisteveh,

Great facial expression definition of the word. Did you take his/her picture or was it done by a professional photographer?

Warm regards,

Winslow

Thanks, Winslow, for the six stars especially.

No, I just found the picture on-line, but other reviewers tell me he is famous on the internet.
