Great poem, I am jealous of your trip although I am off to Ireland in two week for my Vacation. I love your rhyme scheme and choices and the lilt of the poem was so even and musical.

The poem story line development: Their off to Bali a warm climate to be with the grandchild's kin. Go see some temples and looooonnng long walks, or snooze by the pool. A cluster of islands that make one land.
The emotion felt wheres the cool, the cold. Oh! to short this year.
Do not work hard its only two weeks over in a blink. Take care we'll wait here.
Even take a breather and enjoy your time with the Rellies.
Have fun Roy even if your wrong about the date we are right. Walk is the shadow of our Lord. Rita

What a fun and very descriptive poem. The use of parenthesis was very effective to "throw in" the rhyme. The rhyme is consistent and adds to the poem's easy flow. Fun to read and fun to think about the warmth the "characters" share.

This is a fun way to announce your holiday, and potential absence. I hope you enjoy every minute of it. Such fun for your granddaughter to have grandma and grandpa for two whole weeks. Bali is a beautiful place and so much to do, or such lovely venues, to just enjoy the warmth and sunshine for a lazy few hours. I hope the poetry keeps flowing. Don't worry about replies and such, much rather you use your moments for fun, relaxation and time with family. Here's hoping that you have a fabulous break and well-earned rest. Bali is a fascinating place and the Balinese, one of the friendliest people on earth. Once you escape the main tourist destinations, it is a place of breathless beauty - so I anticipate some enrichment of the poetic muse in this fertile land!

You're right Tony, we've been a few times, we've often hired drivers for tours in the "wilds". And, you're right, it's enchantment of high degree. My son in law is Balinese, although they live here. And my beautiful granddaughter is the apple of my eye, she will meet again her Indonesian relatives, of which there are many! Thanks for the great review, blessings, Roy
