Hi, Sandra
= Taking me a while to get around to everyone.
= I love you're acrostic interpretation. Nice.
= I enjoy it when peeps do as you did and define the first letters. It's very creative, and sharp looking.
= This was an interesting picture to get a grasp of at first.
= Very well composed and presented, my friend.

I found it a hard one, Jackie, I tried the conventional way a few times and failed, so I messed around with this acrostic instead and it worked quite well. I'm glad you liked it. I've had a look at the new picture, now that one opens up a lot of possibilities. :) Thanks again, my friend, I really like these challenges, they get the old grey matter working! :) Sandra xx

Dear Sandra,
A spider web is a unique thing. As you say it sparkles and waves. A rhyming acrostic is a treat to read, you've ensnared this reader in gossamer thread.
Warm regards,
Winslow

Thank you so much, Winslow. They really are amazing--I watched a spider make his web in slow motion of the internet. I was so impressed, a lot of work goes into them. Thanks again, for you lovely review. :) Sandra xx

Not much of a fan of spiders either but I was thinking about a web one created on my deck and how the sun glimmered through with various colors. Good one, Sandy.

Thank you, Ben. They are lovely, but people only see the spider and not the beauty of their creations. It's a bit like life, isn't it? Sometimes we only see the worst and not the good. Thank you, my dear friend. Thinking about you. Big hug, Sandy. xxx

Sandra,
I never knew spider webs could sound so beautiful.
Your acrostic and addition to the Picture This Challenge
is beautifully crafted. Each line composed with nice
imagery and I enjoyed your aa/bb rhymes as well.
Your presentation is great as well with your colored
first letters.

Wow... an acrostic with perfect RHYME and METER! Amazing that you did it, and it doesn't sound the least bit forced. It's terrific, and you're terrific. What talent!!!
I have never seen an acrostic that actually sounded like a poem on its own merits, and a good one at that. BRAVO! You have earned my last six. :)

Wow, thank you, Phyllis, that is high praise coming from you. I know how you love to keep hold of your 6s, and to give me your last one, I have to send you over a biiiiiig hug. Thank you, my friend. I have a huge smile on my face now. :) Sandra xxxxxxxxx

Now perhaps you understand why I save my sixes, because later in the week I often find something soooo gooood that I MUST give it a six. I save them so long, that I usually use the last one on Saturday, but I ran out early this week and was saving that last one for something truly deserving. Glad I saved it for this masterpiece.
You should try saving sixes and being more particular about spending them. Try to keep one for Friday and you'll learn to be more demanding. :)
-
I will try to do that next week. I will let you know how I get on. Have you started a new story yet? No pressure, just want something to read tonight! :)))

You haven't told me the name of this contest. Please give me the name so I can look at it. '
Stories on hold. Too many doc appointments.

Its just called sandramitchell, and it is in the 'contests closed tomorrow' or something like that. I just sent you an e-mail about the bear. :) xxxx

You acrostic presented here as your interpretation of pateclaw's photo for the 'Picture This!' picture challenge group is sensational, Sandra. It's very difficult to create a sonnet which not only rhymes, but is composed with a smooth, even tempo as well. But, as you've shown so adeptly here, with a bit of creativity, imagination, and the will to do so, it can be done and done well.
Great work, Sandra.

I 'm fascinated with spider webs but the little buggers freak me out. i.e. my poem on this week's pic. We have some giant spiders here in the south and their webs are gorgeous. A beautiful work of art for sure. Like how you designed a line for every letter in "spider web" good choice.
I guess I remember , too well, the final scene in the 1960's horror movie "The Fly" when it got caught in the spider's web and the spider was crawling toward it. *shiver*

I had nightmares for weeks after that film! LOL, I hate spiders, but I read up about them for my ABC children's book, and I have to give in and let them live ... outside! Thank you so much for your great review, my friend. Umm, just read again the word, GIANT spiders, now look here Linda, GIANT and SPIDERS just do not go well together with me!!! LOL, I am glad we don't have them! :) Sandra xxx
-
I forgot what they are called but they are almost the size of my hand and live mostly in the woods or swampy areas. They are pretty and won't hurt you.
-
You are the first person to tell me a spider is 'pretty' if you find out the name, I will Google it and have a look. :)

I agree, this is a difficult prompt on which to write. Spiders are not my thing. Your acrostic poem on spiders paints a picture in words, and uses excellent rhyme.

Thank you so much, Patricia. I am not a big fan of spiders, but so long as they stay outside and do their job, we will get on fine, lol! Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra! I love what you did with this picture. I'm always happy to read yours because I know you'll give it your personal fun signature. I didn't know spiders eat their web when they move. Wow, you taught me something new.
Great acrostic, nice rhymes, and sweet presentation. I like the image of the webs "draped" over trees and flowers :)
My favorite line:
"Receiving flies and insects too".

That is so nice of you, Joy, thank you so much. It wasn't an easy challenge, and the 'R' was the hardest letter, glad you liked what I did with it, lol! Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

An excellent acrostic explaining what spiders do and why. An excellent picture for this poem that reads well with great rhymes. Well done Sandra. Hope you are well my friend. The month of May has not been a good one, but I am still at it. All I can do at times is to possibly review, but unable to compose anything. Take care! xxx

Hi, Jim, how lovely to see you, I do miss reading your poetry. Obviously you haven't felt too good this month, please don't say things are going wrong again. I have been hoping you would be on the mend, or at least much better than you have been. I am really grateful that you came to read my poem, just seeing your name gives me a lift. I haven't been writing much poetry lately either. Jim, you know my e-mail address, if you want to chat, you know you can, any time. Sending you lots of love and warm hugs. :) Sandra xxx
