Limitations culture is a really well and beautifully written poem you have here.
The best thing I love the most is that it rhymes is from start to finish and to me that makes a great poem!! :)

Nice rhythm and rhyme. A beautiful reflection on the vanity of our ambitions and pursuits. A reminder that those things humble are of greater value than all the praise in the world. Nicely expressed.

I like your poem, Roy. It tells me that with faith that we get from the God of our own understanding we can fulfill our dreams. God gives us the kind of confidence we need to succeed, not by the world's standards perchance, but to successfully make a worthwhile life and find peace of mind.
I like "we should be grasping truth like lambs"
Well done.

I enjoy your words, Roy, and encourage you to keep writing out of seclusion! Still I also encourage using proper spelling (thus the four-star rating)...whereas "their dwells a fettered, gridlocked hell" is compelling, it really should read "there". So the rhythm stopped for me. A screech of brakes and it took me another few lines to find the rhythm again. Just trying to be helpful here. You are seen as a role model (at the #3 ranking), so, as my teacher's used to tell me: make sure you're modeling correct behavior (or spelling as it were.) Thanks!

I think this is a lovely poem. There's not left to say that others haven't already said about it. I do know the truth of your message. We build our own walls and limitations. That knowledge comes with age, I think. If everyone could just let go of what people think, or making themselves look foolish, I think we would all be happier, don't you?

I especially liked these lines:

"We build a fortress with strong walls in triumph's gaudy trophied halls."

These following lines I understood to mean that we stand in our "safe zone" and never attempt anything new. "We stand behind this fail-safe glass, we let those visions surely pass."

Thank you for a great message told with beautiful rhyme and flow. 8-)

Hello and thank you for your thoughts on the beginning and the ending. I often hear mountains can be moved by faith. I have faith, but will my wish be done? I pray for that faith.

While the message is strong I do not find myself transported. It seems more cerebral than I would hope something along these lines would feel. I am missing the spark.

What a beautiful poem accompanied by such a lovely picture. This is truly a thought-provoking piece. How true it is that we, and only we, can limit ourselves. Only we have the control to do so (or to allow another person to). As the old saying goes, "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars." How true it is! Beautiful piece, thank you for sharing! xoLeslie
