Hi Red. First of all--a clever title combining a portion of the three topics in your potlatch--alien, jaws, and apocalypse. Good job with this challenge, clear and interesting. Marilyn

Hi Red. I participate in the "Picture This" challenge group which posts every two weeks. I enjoy it. I'm not sure how the potlatch works but does sound interesting. My thing is that I sometimes over-extend, so one group is enough for now. Marilyn

Someone else wrote about Alien. It is the first 'R' rated movie I snuck into. I still think of that thing coming out every time my stomach hurts. I haven't seen the other two. Good work, my friend~Debbie

Alien was well thought out, a believable and impossibly dangerous species... thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

I love that you did a three movie combo :) Alien, Jaws, and Apocalypse Now. You summed them up well in a compact form. Excellent syllable count in every line. You got this challenge under control :) I like the belly ache line!

That was a startling moment in movies...the emergence of the parasite...I wonder if the movie was not named at first for the aliens of the lost ship. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

You have taken us to the movies for the potlatch challenge. Aliens from somewhere hard to know who is who, jaws will bite you in half. Apocalypse the way the world will end as we know it.

Steve McQueen was considered for the chief role in Apocalypse Now. I wish they'd let him do it.
Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

You've covered three well known movies with your three 5 - 7 - 5 verses and even get in part of that most famous line - I love the smell of napalm - well done.
cheers,

One of Robert Duvall's best roles was Kilgore. They thought of using Steve McQueen as Willard-I'd like to have seen that. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

You did a great job with the movie theme. I like that you were able to include 3 great movies and express your feelings about each with the limited syllables. Your artwork is perfect. Love the made up title!

Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan

Love those classic movies. Ripley and Kurtz Meet The Fish was too long for a title...thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

Hahaha. You've written about three of my all-time favorite films in your potlatch challenge 5-7-5, Red. One of those films you've mentioned is my ALL-TIME, Number One, fright-fest of 'em all... Director Ridley Scott's ALIEN.
H.R. Geiger, the Swiss born German surrealist artist who came up with the design of that merciless alien creature, died in May of 2014, at the age of 74.

Great work with this. I think you rose to meet the challenge quite admirably.

Take care... ~Dean

Shoo, that is still one nasty critter. But with a billion Goldilocks planets in our galaxy, don't you know she's out there? Thanks for reading and reviewing, Dean.

Yeah, I'm sure there are things we could not even dream of...out there...deep in the cold...dark...recesses of space, Red.
It was my pleasure as always, buddy.
    ~Dean :)

I was wondering about the title! I was like, is that some kind of Indian word that you messed up - lol! Sorry.
I haven't seen any of these movies, believe it or not. Although I did want to see Apocalypse Now, as Heart of Darkness is one of my favorite books.
Nice job. This was a tough one for me, for some reason. I'm about to post mine (late, tsk tsk)

I don't know anyone's taste, so I hesitate to make recommendations, but I liked all three of these movies. I opted for the movie descriptions, rather than the movie sensations...hope I played by the rules...thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

Very cleaver tag lines in your movie suite, Lij. You're right - it is so hard to scream when you've got a horny face-hugger laying eggs down your throat. Yikes that was a power-house of a movie. And Jaws. Again, no one forgets that one either - or the iconic line about the boat.
In fact, your tie in to each of the themes was awesome.
Rose.

The three movies were among my favorites, and the five/seven/five is just right for a very quick review. I don't know how good this was, but I think it beat the palindromes! Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Great job on this suite of movies!

The Jaws music, and the Wagner from Apocalypse Now are musical cliches...I loved so many old movies. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.
